In August 2008 I received a phone call from BikerBob telling me of a CX500 Custom that he had came across in a Scrap yard in Devon and did I know of anyone that might be interested in it, WELL........As we where heading down that way in the September to Newton Abbott bike show I said I'll have it as the price was to good to turn down. When we arrived at the yard the Custom was actually stuck in a hedge and had to be lifted out with the help of a Crane. Everything was there if somewhat tatty in places but nothing that couldn't be sorted, tank and panels faded but otherwise very good with no dents. On the trailer with it then and spend a fantastic week with Bob & Sue then off back home with the hedge bike on tow.

Not a bad little buy for £30 but a lot of work to get it road worthy. 

Nothing done on it and its now Feburary 2009. I spot a Custom on Ebay and it isn't makingany money, could be to do with the shite weather but none the less it dont look to bad even though its only half a bike. I'm at the Lighthouse Inn with Wayne,Anita, Phil, Sally & Spenny as Donington Show has been cancelled due to snow so they head this way for the weekend instead. The Mobile rings and its Gaz asking me if I,m gonna bit on the arfa bike, Ah I forgot about that!! so after a quick chat he sticks a bid on for me with only seconds to go and I win it for £56, NICE ONE!! Weekend of 21st Feb I go to London and pick it up from Gaz, not bad at all, alot better than expected, Log Book, good Frame & Swing Arm, Wiring Loom, Rear Wheel with good Tyre and engine still in.

Heres a few pictures of ARFA. It lived in the back of the van for a week then it was into the garden and check it out. A bit more expensive than EDGE but at £56 not to bad a buy!!

 SIMPLE THINGS FIRST, FILL THE NEW BATTERY WITH ACID, CHARGE IT UP AND LETS SEE IF THESE THINGS WILL FIRE UP, THINK I'LL VIDEO THIS BIT AND STICK THE FOOTAGE ON HERE......LETS HOPE THE WEATHERS GOOD THE WEEKEND!!!!!
